Oak Hills – Pet Documentation Project

If you have found a pet or lost a pet and want help, Contact ??

The Oak Hills Pet Registry (OHPR) is a free service run by volunteers and is provided to Oak Hills residents. The OHPR is supported by the Oak Hills Citizens Association. Residents can go online and register their pets, which in turn helps identify the animals if they are ever lost. When a pet is found in or around Oak Hills and reported to the OHPR a search is done to see if the animal matches any pets in the database. If a match is found, the owners are called to let them know their pet is loose and who has him. If the animal is not in the system, we will suggest and assist getting the animal scanned by a microchip scanner. If the owners can not be determined, an email blast is sent to the neighbors to alert residents that an animal has been found. Emails are also sent out letting neighbors know if an animal has escaped from a yard or home.

Hunter’s Creek has been operating their Pet Registry since the fall of 2007, and have had great success reuniting more than 140 animals with their owners, finding new homes for abandoned animals or taking abandoned pets to "no-kill" shelters. We hope to be able to have the same results here in Oak Hills.
